Hillery and Neil contacted me for their autumn tree farm wedding in January. When I first met these two I thought they were a beautiful, great couple. I always express that I enjoy meeting new couples and meeting Hillery and Neil was no different. We met at a Starbucks and after our first meeting I knew that I definitely wanted to photograph their wedding; I knew that this was meant to be and I'm so happy it was.
We photographed the engagement session in May and they were so natural in front of the camera. Our early morning shoot at the Arnold Arboretum was the most fun I've ever had at an engagement session. After their session I knew I couldn't wait for the wedding.
They could not have chosen a better time to share their vows. An October wedding at the Overlook at Greer tree farm is beautiful. The leaves were changing and since this is a tree farm you get the full New England autumn experience. I wanted to photograph this wedding a little differently than what I normally do: black-and-white photography is so important to me and I wanted this wedding to be the wedding where I really captured not only the moments but also the emotions of the day.
The view at the Overlook at Greer Tree Farm was magnificent; I wanted to do something a little different than I normally do and that was to capture video. This is something that I want to offer to future clients. This first video is of course a little shaky; bringing a tripod is something that I will definitely do in the future.
OK... it's time for me to start stop blabbing about this gorgeous wedding and show you the slideshow. I hope you enjoy it and please comment down below on what you think. Are you planning to marry at the Overlook at Greer tree farm next year? If so, the opportunity to photograph another wedding there would truly be an honor:
